Huddersfield Town 1 Wolverhampton 0

Date : 27/08/2016

Venue : John Smiths stadium

Kick off time : 3pm

Town welcome the Zenga boys to Huddersfield .
Both have had a good start to the season, with a flurry of new players & optimism abound.

This seasons form guide:

League only: latest results last.

Wolves: DWDW

Town : WWDW

Last time in Huddersfield: 20/02/16 Town 1 Wolves 0, a late goal from Wells gave Town the spoils.

Town head into the match before the international break on the back of another late winning goal, we have scored 3 late goals in 4 of our games, that shows fitness, will to win & a new belief.
Wolves had a great win against their localish rivals Birmingham City last weekend, coming back from 1-0 down to beat Brum 3-1, that shows exactly the same mental state as Town, & I expect a great game this weekend.
North Stand Loyal… yes indeed still behind the goal, this may be controversial but…. How many more Tickets would Wolves sold if we gave them all the stand? More money in our bank & a bigger crowd, I still expect to decent GATE of around 20,000 again, with a great atmosphere & feel good factor.
From what iv’e seen of Coady he’s had a good start to the season & should get a good round of applause.

Jackett was past his sell by date & the Wolves needed freshening up, they probably laughed when Zenga was appointed but are more than happy with his start.

Been very impressed with Walter Zenga so far, I remember his as a great goalkeeper who played with longish hair in Italia 90..how times change !

Prediction…. A hard one this…

1-1 late heartache for Town who concede late on..

A win will keep us TOP OF THE LEAGUE for at least 2 weeks when we head to that skip in Beeston……

We're not that type of fans wolfy. Unlike our near neighbours.

I expect Town to beat Leeds, they are struggling, lost a defender due to personal reasons. Their defence is paper thin, time for a battering.

Whilst I cannot disagree with your assessment of them at the moment, let's not get too ahead of ourselves.

Every time we go to Leeds and they're in one of their numerous crises, we somehow manage to cop a battering. It's like it galvanises them for this fixture.

Last year, they'd won 3 on the bounce going into the derby, including away wins at Blackburn and Cardiff, and we're talking up a potential late surge towards the play offs.

We turned up and killed their season.

Throw the formbook out of the window. This will be a very tough game.

Agreed champers, they are already talking about it on their pages.

England

I'd have the English Town lads in before half of these overpaid bores. Jack Payne is certainly easier on the eye than Rooney

I don't think I'm going over the top, apologies if it looks that way. Town should be very confident against Leeds.

Darn, as you may know, lost interest through disappointment in Town, in particular DH. He more or less stopped having an interest a couple of seasons back. I doubt he'll be back, I wish he'd drop by though, I do miss his charm!

He did come back for a while, how do you stop having interest in something that's in your blood?

I've a feeling he drops by for a read up of our antics from time to time. Who knows? He may get the bug back and the temptation may be too great to have a few words.

We've lost loads over the poor seasons, had a few banned (RIP Tez ), shown a few up as idiots (Boots, though he didn't make it hard), and load more gone underground.

I do wonder how 38years is getting on. Grumpy beggar is probably annoyed we've dropped two points already
