FAH has already said there will be money for PM to spend in, wait for it, January, the guy must think we are complete muppets. I have only one hope that when January comes, FAH will be gone, even if the dodgey Greek is in charge, after latest debacle, enough is enough.

PM doesn't make the signings, RAE it is PP.
His connections within continental Europe, especially Portugal seem very good. Fawaz hasn't got the guile nor desire to seek out players like this.

Also, as I have put on another thread...
In an interview with some Scottish rag, Burke has stated he knew about RB Leipzig's interest for a week prior to the move and it was 'too good to turn down'
This is different from the narrative that he was sold without his consent, that we were cashing in, etc.
As I’ve stated I truly believe Fawaz is a sandwich short of a picnic on a rainy day in markeaton park and he has the business acumen of Freddie Laker, but in this instance what was he to do?
Burke was under contract so both parties have to agree, his two options were:
-to deny him the move and see him sulk and not put the performances in, which the Leeds match, so I understand he was a spectator until the 93rd minute.
-Sell at the best price you perceive best for the club.
There is no doubt that OB has been playing well this season, and he showed glimpses last season, but if we are being honest, if you were asked at the end of last season if you would accept £13m for him; you would have said yes. It is, in any perception, crazy money for a player with only a handful of starts.
I am upset to see OB go, but this has ensured we really are clear of FFP embargo. We played well against Leeds on Saturday, in spite of OB, so as a team we are still there. We have kept hold of the spine (Mills, Lans and Britt).
So, on reflection I am fairly please with this window, it’s over to PM to get the team continuing on the upward curve and push on.

I can't believe some people are only just realising Fawaz is clueless. It's been clear since the SOD sacking. Whatever people's opinions of SOD himself, that was the first completely ridiculous decision in a very long list of them.

It now looks like Olly Burke new about this offer from Red Bull Leipzig for a week. We have kept all our centre halves.
Let's wait until we've seen how this new team plays together.

That's what I've put above, Bear.

I think that might be a better idea really, rather than panic buy and waste a fortune this time round, PP and PM can now target players that they've had time to research. Still doesn't excuse selling Burke now, when we would have got more in January.

FAF, if the Greek investment doesn't materialise, and it's looking doubtful, to say the least, how long do you think PM and PP will remain at Forest, I doubt it will be long.

Hopefully they'll stick around if that happens, to finish what they've just started.

If the Greek investment doesn't materialise, how long will they be able to put up with Fawaz? He has put the ball back in their court by staying he made the whole £13m available, oh wait, make that £9m as some is needed to cover losses. Bloke is clearly making it upntonsuit his situation.
