You for their training over 'X' amount of years
Or you pay off the club you got them from (not cheap,into the millions)
You pay staff to nurture them.

I agree in the grand scheme of things it nothing compared to spu nking 30m on David Luis, but they don't cost 'nothing'.

And to back up what I say, look at Rose who went to Tottenham from our academy like so many others, including the 2 you got off us costing you 3m a few years ago. (Ken Bates bought a new yacht with it)

Don't agree. We make a lot of money from loaning players out and our youth products get sold at a profit once they get to a certain point. it's the reality of how we fund much of the club. Courtois had already paid for himself by the end of his loan. Then you get players like Salah, where we recoup the transfer fee and the loan fee paid is the profit. Even Cuadrado won't lose us money with 7m pounds fro two loans and then a transfer fee at the end of it.
