Don't know about you lot but i just cant help feeling there is something about the team that doesn't exactly put confidence in me. We have recruited a new CB & CF (players we clamoured for endlessly) but imo we are some way off from being real title contenders.
Let's play......the weakest link <wink>
1 star GK
2 stars CB & WB
3 satrs DM & CM
4 stars AM & Wingers
5 stars CF
Imo i think our CB & WB is the weakest link
Weakest link

The Ricardo Rodriguez rumours this summer were promising for me. Hopefully he's a January acquisition.

This myth needs to be debunked.
The last 3 seasons have seen him fit enough to make 41,33 and 28 appearances respectively, despite losing his place.

That is because he lost his place, give him extended period of responsibility..and he will be filling his hammy.

Before last season, the two previous seasons saw Gibbs start a lot of consequetive games (when Monreal was at CB for example).
Problem is the damage was already done, and that is why Monreal was signed.
Gibbs will always be a poor mans Ashley Cole, though, and not really any better than Gael Clichy was.

Speaking of Gibbs, how can the guy not get a game? Surely AW isn't keeping him just for the 2 domestic cups?!

As an outsider, I think you still lack a top quality centre forward.
I actually like Giroud as a player, Welbeck too, but neither are really good enough to be #1 for a side with title intentions. In the 25 yes. This Perez? Who knows? Bit of a jobbing career so far, but that was said of Vardy too
Virtually everywhere else you are pretty strong. I think your other business really addressed your problems at CB and CM.

Of course its a CF. Giroud is not good enough and Perez needs to prove he is better. We spent nearly £100m in the transfer window and still failed to improve the one position that has been the biggest need for a few years.
