Head-to-head
Chelsea have only beaten Liverpool twice in the last nine league meetings at Stamford Bridge (W2, D3, L4).
This is the 175th competitive fixture between the clubs. Liverpool lead by 75 wins to Chelsea's 61, with 38 draws.
Chelsea
Chelsea could record three successive home wins in the Premier League for the first time since May last year.
Relegated Aston Villa were the only side to earn fewer home victories than Chelsea's tally of five in 2015-16.
The Blues have scored at least two goals in each of their opening four league fixtures.
Diego Costa has already scored four times - it took him until Boxing Day to reach that tally in the Premier League last season.
Antonio Conte has won his last 21 league games at home as a manager, and not lost in 30 since Juventus were beaten by Sampdoria in January 2013.
Liverpool
Liverpool's tally of 32 points from their last 17 games is only bettered by Manchester United (34).
The Reds have scored an unrivalled 50 Premier League goals in 2016, managing three goals or more in eight matches.
However, their only clean sheet in 12 away games during this calendar year came against Aston Villa in February.
They could go nine away matches without a clean sheet in the league for the first time since May 2005

I don't believe he's a lifelong Utd fan, but he has definitely grown an affinity for them and Ferguson over the course of the Sky era, and loves going on about it.

Since he became a pundit I have a lot more time for Neville. I find him quite unbiased. But Tyler is like my teenage daughter and her mates at a One Direction concert, virtually having an attack of the vapours every time United play. He hates us I am sure.

Can we all agree now that putting Milner at left back ahead of Moreno was absolutely the right call?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Can't say I agree. I think we'd be more balanced with Moreno. Although Moreno was having a tough time so probably the right move to take him out.
--------
I know you've got a hard on for Moreno TOOR, but Milner gives us reliability and composure.
I've no doubt that we will invest in another left back but the sheer reliability of Milner really helps us. As does the fact that he can head the ball so we don't get caught out by long diagonals as opposition used to target Moreno with.
Looked a lot more solid.

Milner is definitely the right call at this time.

Milner is definitely the right call at this time.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I was always convinced that Milner could do a job for us at left back and provide more solidity than Moreno, because he reads the game better than Moreno and has the energy and work ethic to play the position. He also uses his attacking skills and instinct to provide good balance when we are attacking.
Where Moreno will be useful is when we need more natural width to break down packed defences.
So far Milner has more than justified his inclusion at LB. He has been relatively solid and has provided some assists. He also can cross with his left foot and you can see him trying to put the ball in earlier when the situation arises, but he is still thinking too much about it and at times hesitates when doing so. With more experience playing the position it will become a more natural thing for him to do given time.

Just watched the first half of Barca's game with them 3 up.
First goal Suarez sets up Messi for a tap in.
Second Messi sets up Suarez for a tap in.
Third Suarez sets up Neymar for a tap in.
It's just greedy having all 3 of these genius' in 1 team.
