Firstly,
The only thing we deserved from that game today was the final result.
Maddion's free kick was a worthy winner in any league in planet football.
Warburtons brand of Tiki Taka lacks the flair of Salsa and samba.
I believed in the man, his methods and philosophy and his trusted 4-3-3
But, for months now it hasn't been alarm bells that have been ringing, it's been the sound of sirens as the blitz approaches. And i'm afraid fellow bears the time is here for change. I'd hate for Warburton to stick this out and succumb to the hostilities of fan pressure and media hysteria as i really do like the man.
As predicted, Warburtons style is a one way street, theirs no left or right turn, just one way. the use of our left and right backs combined with the two wide forward players are our plan A. I'm sorry Warburton but the 433 has expired as it stifles certain players. There's also more chance of me starting for Rangers than O'halloran and how Niko Krancjar gets minutes is beyond wonder.
At the beginning of the season i'd thought we'd do ok but my fear was that is Warburton able to adapt from being 1 nil up and having ten minutes on the clock and making that decision to dig in and be resolute and defend for the victory rather than taking the chance to look for the second. But as the season has went on we haven't been in such scenario and my observation of Warburton is he simply doesn't know how to change or win games on his own tactical decisions.
The one man that has done it all for Rangers is Walter Smith and i'm positive that he can get us climbing the league and collecting points while sorting out our frailties as a talented group that i think this squad is.
Walters way will offer the players greater protection imo and if we make the change now, maybe Walter can stay till the summer and we take it from there.
Warburton since he arrived has been class and hasn't got a great deal wrong. for the next few days and months ahead their will be talk of his lack of managerial experience as a former city trader, but imo that's nonsense as many a manager over the years have gotten into trouble for this way of thinking and philosophy. He is paying the price for sticking to his guns and at the same time some players are under-performing to.
If and when the change is made, Is Walter the man? or who would you have?
I'm gutted today, regardless of who we played as simply the performance and end product was missing and has been for a long time.
SOS Call to Walter Smith

The real person you should blame is Dave King for not spending the money.

Its not working. He clearly doesn't know his strongest team.
But we're only 7 games in. He should be given a proper chance to get it right with his players.
If he was a Rangers man, fans would give him a proper chance. Folk were far more patient with Ally.

the defensive side has been terrible since he arrived and it dosen't seem to matter who is playing the mistakes are still coming from the same areas of the pitch
saying that if we had strikers like sinclair, griffiths, dembele we would hammer teams and nobody would be greeting about the defense but we have garner and miller and waghorn and mckay

Timmy is right - pressurise King. Until he puts in real money or gets investors to do so we do not have the quality for a top 4 finish. Where were the 20m of season tickets sales (the fan's money) spent - not a word from Rangers. The only winners are King and his Directors who will walk away with millions if Asians were to invest. That is what they are waiting for.

Why would Asians blow their cash on Rangers?
There is no return for your money in Scottish Football.
You need a real billionaire who loves and supports the club.

Get away! It's only 7 games in and we're 3 points off second.
Yes performances have been disappointing, I've been critical of the team myself, but a run of 2 or 3 wins will see us climb the table. Unless you expected to be challenging Celtic this season?? I certainly didn't. I expected to be in the battle for 2nd with Aberdeen, Hearts etc and that's exactly where we'll be. We were unlucky today, overall we were the stronger side but didn't take our chances. We competed easily with the 2nd best team in the league over the last couple of seasons away from home, not playing at our best. If we click 2nd place is ours for the taking.
I'm still just glad we have a club and are back in this league. The last thing we need is to return to the must win at all costs mentality and get back into the one up on Celtic cycle that got us into that mess in the first place. The press/pundits are already trying to stir this up by putting pressure on MW and Rangers. They want the big battle for the league and the story if MW gets the sack. We need patience though and we can't give into knee jerk reactions.
Building a competitive side on a low budget over a couple of seasons is what we need at the moment not spunking millions on trying to beat Celtic. Not yet, we are not stable enough off the pitch to even think about it.
We do not need millions for a top 4 finish. Aberdeen, Hearts, St Johnstone manage it without millions and pick up cups as well.
Sure if some sugar daddy comes along and drops a billion quid on us, fine, but don't count on it. It also wouldn't be sustainable in the long run, given the league we play in and if he left we'd be truly flucked.
King has stabilised us and we are in a far better place for having him in charge. The off field stuff is not over yet and until it is he won't be bringing in investors or dropping wads of his own cash into Rangers, it just isn't going to happen. Forget his salesman sound bites, they are just that, fodder to keep the masses happy. Rangers PR does leave a lot to be desired at times and they could certainly communicate better, but I'm not demanding millions out of the board, it would be crazy at this point.
As long as we're stable and competing in the league until the off field stuff is well and truly sorted, then I'm happy.
Warburton has us playing nice football. Yes we need more of a cutting edge and his signings have been poor. But overall I enjoy a lot of what I see when I watch Rangers at the moment. There is potential there. The manager has not had a job like this before, he is learning. Unless we want to blow millions we don't have (like £40k a week for Rodgers) on a proven coach then that's the way it has to be for now.
Get over the must win, must be better than Celtic attitude and back the team!!! In the long run we will be stable and start to compete for the league. But it won't happen this year, so don't expect it to.
