How is Aaron Ramsey’s injury situation, (who has had a history of injuries) in any way related to Coq??

It isn't, but how often over the years have you seen a " 3 weeks" end up being months? I don't trust our medical team to come up with a reasonable estimate. Sorry.

As I am sure you are aware medical assessment is anticipated. It’s not an exact science. In that no medical professional can be 100% certain how long it will take for the body to heal.

When AFC’s medical department (or any other health professional) give an assessment, it is just that, a projection.

Players (being human beings, rather than machines) therefore are sometime subject to unforeseen delays.

It's more than just "sometimes" with us though, and the delays are often huge. A couple of weeks is fine but with us it's closer to a couple of months, sometimes even more than that. Basically, until Coquelin is back playing for us I will not believe any of these projections.

I see where you're coming from but you're forgetting the "more than a few times" you're referring to are pretty much injuries to the same players. Ramsey, Gibbs and Wilshire are the "setback" kings. You hear the word at least twice a season for each player. Theo gets the occasional "setback" but he mostly comes back on time but gets injured again quick

Coquelin on the other hand, like Sanchez tends to come back before the estimate. Those two are the "Earlier than expected" kings. With Prince Giroud. Unless Coq has been misdiagnosed, going to form for him, he'll be back inside 3 weeks.

Hardnuts don't do setbacks!

Despite your apparent paranoia, AFC’s medical department are no different to any other, as far as recovery forecasts are concerned.

A knee ligament injury to an AFC player is diagnosed, treated, and requires the same recuperation period, as any other club. AFC however have had a number of players who seem more prone to injury. This is hardly the fault of the medical department though.

Don’t think you’re being in anyway objective here. You predicted Coq would be would be out for at least six months. Now he’s been given a three week absence, you’re complaining, as there’s a chance he could have a setback.

Worst case scenario, and Coq does suffer a setback in his rehabilitation, he’ll still be back considerably shorter than foreseen by many. Including yourself

In Arsenal time, 3 weeks is usually 3 months
