LIW - I never said GFH or Cellino would be great. Maybe I was over enthusiastic (like many) having suffered many years under Bates - hindsight is a great thing!

The only time I've said Cellino was selling is from the Chinese consortium I know about. That appears to have died a death for the reasons stated above but Tappin thinks it's still a possibility according to Harrogate on here a few weeks back. Where's all the investors he mentioned? Not heard a dickibird since his post about Tappin speaking with more investors in London.

So technically I'm not wrong on anything as the Chinese I was told about do actually exist (see Tappin and his contacts) and the person trying to sort the deal with MC also actually exists and is known by everyone on here. The fact it hasn't come off doesn't mean the info was false - just that it hasn't come off due to MC wanting to remain at the club.

.. and to MattyP - the reason I posted on here was because Harj asked a question. I tried to answer with what I knew. Maybe you should try it someday instead of slagging off members of the forum.

Or maybe you could just stop posting that takeovers that are never going to happen are happening.

Either, or.

I met with representatives of my client two weeks ago. They had been in talks to buy Leeds United. I was told that they are working on a new bid.

This is a West Yorkshire-based business.

They are very wealthy.

They don't, in my opinion, have unlimited wealth that would catapult Leeds United into the super rich category. Their assets are in the hundreds of millions but in the main, these are long-term fixed assets.

They would probably have to borrow against these assets to purchase Leeds United. The question then is how much they'd be prepared to borrow to invest in the team. I think it would be limited....

Stoopo & Stevie - please keep on reporting what you know.

I'd guess that most on here just read with interest and appreciate that there are a hundred-and-one things that can get in the way of a TOMA and none of them is within your control.

People shouldn't shoot the messengers!
