Huddersfield Town 2 Bristol City 1

Quick one C&P edition, busy, busy. 👍

Town v Bristol City

Wagbo's side have scored just six goals in their last nine matches, with Wigan Athletic the only side with a worse goalscoring record over the same period.

Town have also taken just five points from the last available 24 and will have to recapture the kind of form they showed at the beginning of the season if they are to stand any chance of securing a playoff spot come May.

Bristol City were in a similar vein of form up until last week when they notched a win over Ipswich Town - their first victory in six attempts.

Lee Johnson has seen his slide slip to 11th in the table after a fast start to the campaign, but the Robins could go within a point of the top six with a win at the John Smith's Stadium.

Team News;

Right-back Smith, who sat out last week's draw at Blackburn due to a one-game ban, could return to the starting line-up.

Head coach David Wagner has no new injury or suspension worries, but centre-half Mark Hudson (hamstring) and winger Sean Scannell (ankle) are still out.

Midfielders Jack Payne and Philip Billing are among those pushing for recalls as Town bid for their first win in six league matches.

Bristol City ;

Midfielder Gary O'Neil is Bristol City's only concern with a damaged toe.

Adam Matthews is available again after his fitness was built up by an intensive 10-day programme, the on-loan Wales defender returning in the 2-0 home victory over Ipswich after a five-week absence.

Swedish defender Joel Ekstrand has suffered another setback after suffering a knee injury in training.

Ekstrand has played only twice since his summer arrival at Ashton Gate and he joins Arnold Garita on the sidelines after the young striker saw his loan spell at Plymouth cut short by a knee injury.

Match facts

Town have scored in each of their last nine home league games against Bristol City, last failing to do so in October 1988.

The Robins won both league meetings against Huddersfield last season, the first time they'd done so in the second tier since the 1958-59 campaign.

Bristol City have won more points from losing positions this season than any other Championship team (12).

Town (14) have conceded the most goals from set-pieces (inc. pens) in the Championship this season.

The Robins have lost four of their last five Championship matches away from Ashton Gate (D1).

Aaron Mooy has completed the most passes in the Championship this season (1139).

Prediction time.

1-3 defeat Att 18,855.

Thought we played some excellent stuff today. Mooy is the best player I have ever seen in a Town shirt. Makes it all look so easy. Everyone did their bit today though. Much improved on the last month or so and it was nice to see our pressing game return.

Brizzle were an absolute disgrace with their 1950s football, poor sportsmanship and that fat scouse pr-ck Tomlin throwing himself everywhere. I can say quite honestly that I hope they go bust.

He's not scouse, he's from Leicester and we share the same birthday (just Googled him).

Are you thinking of Mr Trundle? (lee)

I was sure he was a scouser

He's 100% definitely a pr-ck however, that doesn't require further research

Thing is he went down about 2 seconds after any contact would have been made, so for me that was simulation. Typically they scored from the resulting free kick. He could feed the starving and I'd still hate the bloke though.
