So, just waiting, waiting for a real match thread to become available and then realised that it was not going to materialise from the obvious sources, so decided to give it a go all on my little ownsome. Plus I was bored.

Sunday, 11th December 2016, 12.00pm, iPro Stadium sees the visit of the most of the most abused, scorned, taken for granted set of fans since Borrowash Vics moved from Deans Drive to the Asterdale meaning their fans would have to walk to Spondon. . However this set of fans (not the Vics) are (alright, most of them) probably not entirely blameless in this as they for the most part of facilitated the shenanigans going on the Dark Side of the 52 with a blind spot especially those that post from afar with little empathy towards the abuse of their Notts club.

Notts Forest go into this game on an unprecedented and unexpected wave of optimism, so unexpected, their fans are struggling to cope. Three wins on the bounce and they are beside themselves. Well, I hope it doesn’t last, a month ago you were forlornly predicting League 1 and now you are going to be promoted…..

As the famous and now legendary saying goes “you couldn’t beat 10 men" …is true…but you could beat nine. I watched that game last week and my biggest fear is that the disgusting Lansbury exploits so welcomed and applauded by Florest fans will manifest itself at the iPro and result in some monstrously unfair sending off of a Derby player. Oh, by the way, there have been 10 s in games involving Notts Forest more than any other Championship team.

Derby County go into this game on the back of 5 wins and are awaiting fitness tests on both Darren Bent and Max Lowe. The wave of optimism around the iPro after the arrival of the former Notts Forest manager (ffs, ANOTHER one you let go…) is permeating all-round the City because Derby fans are real fans and stick by their club.
