Bolton Wanderers v Shrewsbury Town

First of all I'd like to wish everyone a happy Christmas. Bolton who have dropped to 3rd with 43 points after defeat at chesterfield face a similar fixture today. Shrewsbury managed by Paul hurst are in 21st place with 21 points and similarly need a win to get out of the relegation zone. A connection as ex Bolton player Joe riley is in the Shrewsbury squad probably on the bench. Let's hope Bolton are up for this today as they were well under par in all departments. Team news .Howard, Davies still long term absentees. Pratley close to a comeback but not quite ready yet. Also doubts Buxton and proctor. Expect an unchanged team despite hints in the beano of plan bs. Boxing day my favourite day of the year. Enjoy.

I meant the total one where not allowed to bring anyone in like last January. If lucky maybe allowed one in one out again but doubt there will be any money available for that hence Henry and ameobi go back and at best replaced by a free loan where a premier club is looking to give experience to a 17/18 year old.

Ah you mean the swerve Benny when talking about the one in one out and limited squad number under all that the rules still state we are under a blanket embargo. The swerve is made up of special dispensations and exceptions due to various things like change of owner no money and injuries plus Ken's boys blagging it.
I'd expect the means to doing a swerve to be restricted if things don't go according to plan we surely can't go beyond a year under embargo and restrictions there's a rule about that somewhere isn't there.

There would be little point in loaning a couple of 17/16 year olds, we have a few of them ourselves and they probably won't get a game for some considerable time.

I think Ken has already told us that he's not looking to bring anyone in but depending on any decent amount of cash being offered for any of ours, he could be tempted to sell.

We just have to hope that he doesn't have any half reasonable offers.

any bets on how Chairman Ken has settled the 150k Macron kit debt in the drinks deal I'm going with a free extension to the stadium naming rights

Jay Spearing could be out against Scunthorpe
Is it a groin strain ?
Or is there an offer for his services elsewhere, now that Pratley is on the mend,
Or will they both go and make way for Derik 🤣🤣🤣

"make way for Derik" careful with those words if he gets a start under PP these days it will be at a very last resort so watch the team sheet if he's in the 11 that'll be the clue about players leaving.

Rochdale 2-0 up at HT as late news reaches us of the Burnley chairman enquiring at the bank earlier how much of their overdraft facility remains while on the phone booking a taxi for Tuesday going to Bolton
