AR

According to a The Square Ball AR got about £150m for his share of the recent sale. Most of us assumed it was £350m.

That begs the question - is it enough?

Personally I've been told that if we don't go up then he will need deep pockets. £10m a year needed to just keep us competing in the Champ.

If we go up then great, but if not I would expect him to bring in some other investment. He's already said he's not prepared to throw £millions at it. His plan is a little more long term than MC's was but imagine another three years in this league? Costly if we want to remain competitive.

The early signs are great. The buzz is back at the club and in the city. Now we need to make sure we give ourselves the beat chance this season or next. Beyond that and I'll be worrying.

Any thoughts guys?

Everybody's wondering how deep his pockets are, I'm wondering how deep Shaun's ass is, tell us Shaun, would Monk still be here having a free run at things and allowed to say what he wants to the Media?..

Cellino isn't one that sits in the background and keeps his crapper shut, he doesn't like "coaches" talking without him saying it, and it must have been very irritating for him when Monk didn't do to well at the start?..

Do you think Taylor would be enjoying his football which he hadn't been for a while if Cellino was pulling the strings?

We are winning because of the Loans brought in,(about the time AR came to light!)and a manager that's being allowed to get on with things at a club that is being allowed to function properly, something it hasn't been allowed to do for a long long time!..

You say "manager", odd that for a Cellino love all man, they see him as Coach!..

Its painstakingly obviously(obvious)that if he was pulling the strings we might have had another 6 "coaches" and be up against it at this moment in time!..

Cellino might be giving a bit of advice but I think "AR" is picking the best bits out and adding it to the better side off how it should be done, and I don't think Cellino is the only one advising him!..

I'd be very surprised if Cellino has kept out of things on his won accord.

Strange, how some think success happens overnight. One man alone gets the credit even before he had bought half the club, and the other has had nothing whatsoever to do with the sudden upturn, and took all the blame for wrong things (rightly so),but when things go right, nothing to do with him.....If MC had got everything wrong as some people are suggesting, then we would not be in our present position..... It's going to be interesting from now on if some things go wrong as to who gets the blame.

For 2 and a half years, Cellino was a hurricane destroying anything good at the club. Then suddenly after 23 years of being a lunatic owner, he has changed his ways?

No chance he has kept out of things without AR's influence.

I like how Germany makes things personal with me and bites everytime We were crap in first two years because of Cellino's doing, hiring junk. Now he's done his Jo appointing an actual manager he has no need to interfere

Shaun, it ain't me making things personal with you, its me disagreeing with a lot you say and you never answering anything I say to it!..

You may think it personal but try coming back at me and you'll find its only a disagreement, like all the names you come up with that everybody knows we ain't going to get, so, maybe when your better half,(that it seems to be!)is gone and you put the sort of names up that you do, than maybe we'll get something like what you always ask!..

Just maybe eh?..

"If MC had got everything wrong as some people are suggesting, then we would not be in our present position."

The funny thing is Kev, is that we're only where we are now because of investment being pumped into the club!..

How come Cellino only gave AR a chance?.....he could have gone with others but that wasn't the way it was meant to be, if he had they would have backed the club, only thing is Cellino would have been straight out and not given the golden handshake he's waiting for, promotion he wins, no promotion he hasn't lost!..

Investment in the club is what brought the player's we now have in and they have transformed this team, Monk?...its said that AR had a lot to do with him as well, true or not, Cellino would not let him have the freedom he has!..

Cellino and AR, apart from the fact he said he had to have someone to help, whether or not the right choice is left to be seen,(rumors say the other bid was a much bigger group!)but what is now happening suggests that AR is the main man and on being so Cellino is staying out of the lime light!..

And like I said back there, I don't think Cellino is his only adviser!..

MC brought AR in after refusing to sell 100% of the club to other buyers. AR was the only one who accepted a 50% deal.

So yes MC takes credit for that but it's more down to his ego and hoping to get the plaudits for us getting promotion. He's a stubborn bar steward and will not give in lightly. We have seen this with his refusal to accept his guilt on everything he's been charged with - even after he's lost.

This post was not about who is best or what MC has or hasn't done. It's about AR having what's required to take us where we all want to be.

However it's not all about investment money. This club run correctly should produce enough to get us out of this league. Bates failed. GFH failed and MC has failed (on his own). Let's see where we go with AR in the driving seat - as he surely will be come 01 Feb.

Why do people always expect a new owner to bankroll the club. An owner can invest but no owner bankrolls a club, the club must mainly raise its own funds.
