hopefully 3 points in the bag as we aim to climb the league. predicting a tough game but to eventually come away 2 nil winners. beckford to net along with wellens.
my starting line up would be
gk - schmeical, rb - pantsil, cb - mills bamba, lb konchesky
rm - gallagher, cm - wellens fernandes, lm - dyer
str - beckford vassell
subs - weale, st ledger, danns, king, schlupp
think this would give us the options to change if necessary but with vasell to hold the ball up up top and beckford poaching goals. naturally this would change to nugent with beckford when fit and poss vassell wide right instead of gally
there was previously talk of the game being boycotted due to the money grabbing yorkshire bums wanting to cash in on seeing the championship elite.............which i suppose is to be expected hahahaha.
what are your thoughts on tomorrow???
COYB
this time tomorrow...........

Whilst your starting line-up isn't bad I wouldn't change the team from last week, apart from Beckford coming in for Nugent.
We need to start beating teams like this, I expect it to be a close game though, if we defend well and win 1-0 I'll be happy, though I'd like to see some evidence of quality football sooner or later.

the 1 up front though could be fatal if by what we hear of beckford not being able to play as a lone striker. the balance hasnt seemed right when playing the 3 up top. with the above formation we can revert to the diamond with wellens shielding the back for and fernandes creating. gallagher and dyer should provide us with the width to provide ammunition for goals.
this is only my opinion and whatever team is put out tomorrow i have trust in sven that he will get us the 3 points. after all that is what he is paid to do. if all else fails, top can feel free to give me a call to mastermind our success myself

£10 million plus versus nowt....Down to Sven's tactical genius then...

I think there is little to zero chance of Sven starting with a flat 4-4-2. Even if this was was to revert to a diamond, this type of quartet would require the two 'wingers' so to speak, to be strong midfielders, with at least one breaking up the play around the centre of the park. IMO Neither Gallagher or Dyer have these qualities and nor should they need to with regard to the type of players they are.
This is usually Wellens role so I feel we would really be limiting him playing him in front of the defence. And to be honest, I just don't think Gallagher has done enough to earn a start at the minute (unless he has been stupendous in training over the last fortnight).
I don't think we need a specific defensive midfielder in this particular game and I think Sven will play a different style of 4-3-3 with a midfielder just behind two strikers rather than a striker up top with two players just behind and to the sides. This way, it will naturally revert to a diamond and allow players a little more space rather than flooding the midfielder area.

I think KTF has got it spot on, maybe swap the positions of wellens and fernandes and im pretty sure thats how we'll line up. Should be a good game and i reckon we'll come away with a 2-0 win like last year.

The home fans are also being charged £30 . . . as are Bristol City, Hull, Donny Rovers, Ipswich, Blackpool, Leeds, Millwall, Derby, Brum, Portsmouth, Forest, Reading, West Ham, Cardiff and Brighton, so don't feel like you're the only ones being ripped off (though I'm sure your cheapest match-day ticket is probably around the same price).
Will be surprised if we get anything against you lot as we never normally do (other than 09/10), best team other than Norwich at Oakwell last season. Hope its a good game all round but we nick a point or three.

JamesTyke,
Full price tickets start from £20 at Leicester. But for games against the bigger teams, derby games, etc, they will be up there near the £30 mark.
I think we charge around £25 on average for an away ticket. I suppose the argument is that with the facilities that we offer in a reasonably new stadia this price is competitive.
Whilst I agree with the fact that £30 is very expensive for an away ticket taking into account the stadium and Barnsley's recent seasons (no offence), it's clear we aren't going to be the only team paying it. And it's also apparent that we are classed within the top tier of your pricing structure (something which most teams have), which is also understandable.

I'd go with KTF's formation, preferring to start with Danns and King rather than Gallagher and Dyer, both of whom - but especially the former - have been very ineffective lately. I like Danns' driving style, and I believe that a goal or two - and the confidence they would bring - would transform King into the player who once knocked them in so regularly.
