Would not look out of place playing for Barnsley

We are not great by any stretch of the imagination and he wasn't good enough for us.
He gets to look half-decent because of your talented players.
How he gets in the England squad tells you everything you need to know about why we are crap in internationals.

I shouldn't say this as a utd fan
but is there a poorer attacking player in any of the top 6 first team squad?

Why do people think it's one or the other.
United standard
Championship standard
Maybe just maybe if he's not good enough for united he's Everton or West Ham or Saints standard.
Why if someone is deemed not good enough for united it has to be the whole other direction ?

It doesn't have to be. Schneiderlin is not man Utd standard but he is Everton standard, that's possible. Lingard however is championship standard

Good call. For the amount of appearances I wouldn't say there is in the top 6 a worse attacking player

Jansson, Sissoko, Ramsey, Jesus Navas, are all Championship standard then.

Let me clearly state that i have never been a fan of Lingard due to his lack of ability. I have pointed that out many times.
But lets be real about this. He's a homegrown player, a united fan, living his dream. He wont cry or moan if he's on the bench each week. He loves Utd. He cost us nothing. Yeh he lacks ability but he has improved and he'll run all.day for our team.
Football is a squad game.
Id rather have a player like Lingard in the squad than 10 Di Maria's.
Some of you so called fans need to snap out of this "we need 11 world superstars" attitude and appreciate a dying breed of players who love their club first, then the money.
Yes he isn't that great but knock the lad for playing for his dream club

I wish I could play for my dream club, but I'm probably just slightly worse than lingard. Just because he's a fan and an academy product doesn't excuse the fact he is absolutely garbage

He went on loan to a few championship clubs and wasn't great.

Stop pretending you know how he performed out on loan. Particularly if you clearly don't know..

Some of the people who have been Jose, or LVG fanboys are the same ones spouting rubbish like 'Lingard should get out the fackin club, he's useless etc etc'
Would you leave your dream club, that you've come through the academy of when 2 managers in a row have consistently used you in the squad, and sporadically in the 1st team?
Try blaming the managers if you're desperate to be negative, not the players.

The worse performance I have seen by a United player this year has to be Pogba against Liverpool.
