Hull 2-0 Liverpool Live Match Thread

3pm KO, Anfield 04/02/17

Mignolet, Clyne, Lucas, Matip, Milner, Henderson, Can, Lallana, Coutinho, Mane, Firmino

Head-to-head

Hull have won the previous two home meetings and are unbeaten in three (D1).
The Reds have only won two of the last six clashes between these sides (D2, L2).
However, Liverpool did beat the Tigers 5-1 at Anfield earlier this season.

Hull City
Hull have earned four points in their three Premier League games under Marco Silva, one more than they did in their final nine games under Mike Phelan.
The Tigers are the only side yet to keep a clean sheet at home in the Premier League this season, conceding in all 11 games.
They could keep consecutive Premier League clean sheets for the first time since April 2015.
Hull have conceded an unrivalled 21 Premier League goals from set pieces this season.

Liverpool
Liverpool have won just one of their last nine matches in all competitions (D4, L4).
They could remain winless in their opening five top-flight matches of a calendar year for the first time since 1954, when they did not win any of their first 10.
Liverpool's three league defeats this season have all come against teams currently 10th or lower in the table: Burnley, Bournemouth and Swansea City.
The Reds have attempted more shots on target (143) and scored more goals (52) than any other Premier League team this season.
James Milner has scored five goals in his last six league games against Hull.

Moreno's first touch was hilarious though. A lovely back heel to a Hull player to start a counter

But klopp has put a lot of pressure on himself.

Weakened teams in the cups to then get beat by Hull. Linekar will have a tweet or two to write about that, and he'd be correct to do so.

ERM...

we defended that counter, played the ball back up field then they punted it long between our centre backs who lost the player.

Jesus.. call me clueless did you watch the facking game, two different phases of play, with us having posession in between.

For the record he kept it in because we were chasing the game and hull were timewasting whenever the ball went out, he was attempting to prevent that rather than just randomly trying to sabotage our chances...

Any interviews yet??

Klopp's interview will be the exact same as every other game, then we will read a load of articles on the LFC website about how mentally strong the team.are and how we can improve, then we beat Spurs, suddenly we are world class again and we lose to whatever dross opposition we have afterwards.
