Sorry Hydy, you may be right and I certainly hope you are, but neither the club's statement nor the article you've linked to actually says that he's been banned for life.

The word they both use is 'indefinitely' which simply means that your club has chosen not to state how long he's banned for or, indeed, that they haven't decided themselves.

They could - without going against their word - rescind the ban in a fortnight.

It's very, very different from 'banned for life'.
