Shocking ref.
At least Plymouth lost

All of the top three have lost in the last four days.
Good grief, we are really in the Shinzo now, ONLY 11 points clear of fourth.

Can anyone confirm. Mate rang me this morning to say the ref was a cowardly @##$. Said he should of sent of two of their players, blatant headbutt on Blair. Clean through on goal, brought down, red card and a stonewall penalty.

I look forward to the reports of those who went.
I suppose this was the “reality check” telling us that we are not so much better than the rest. The BBC report suggests it was close and perhaps we missed some good chances, but probably this is nearer to what it will be like in League 1 next year provided we get there.
DF refrains from criticism, but I imagine that he may be a little harder on them behind the scenes. Perhaps he might give an Alfie a chance on Saturday.
Plymouth seemed to have had the worst of it against Orient who merited their win.
Luton will be quite a litmus test.

We are probably "not much better than the rest" donaldo.
However we are slightly better than the rest and that is why we are top of the league.
Over the last ten or eleven games only us, Exeter and Mansfield have had a decent run with only one defeat.
Over the last five games the only two teams not to have lost are Mansfield and Newport.
There isnt a massive gulf in class between any of the teams but the best ones over a season finish in the top few places.

Yes Zigger, the ref was indeed the w***** in the black. The linesman in front of us wasn't up to much either, but the ref was truly shocking. There were two penalty shouts, one a clear one for me when Copps was pushed over. The other one, their keeper did some sort of scorpion-eque back flip, ended up on his rear, and apparently that was us fouling him, despite him being nowhere near the ball and landing on a few Rovers players.
The Blair thing was bad, but there were so many moments to pick from, I was starting to wonder what we had to do to get a decision our way. Matty played extremely well all match, even after being brought down. It was disappointing to see him get involved in the 'altercations' after being headbutted, but you might say understandable. Copps had to put himself between him and the Carlisle player. Seeing as we had a blind referee, he booked both of them instead of sending off the other lad. The way that decision went, I thought for a minute we might have lost Matty, too, as he was clearly furious- a lot of players got involved and the ref was clearly out of his depth.
Overall, although a loss, we weren't terrible. We more than matched them, deserved a point, and it was frustrating that the many chances we created (much more than Carlisle) did not come to fruition. I'd rather we were still creating chances than none at all, even if we do have an occasional hiccup- by no means end of the world- just need to get back on track against Luton now.
Blair and Coppinger played well, constantly moving forward, there were a few good saves from Lawlor, but both Marquis and Williams were disappointing; Marquis didn't seem focused and Williams was absent. Alfie May came on for Williams and looked energetic and up for it- but by god that lad is short, the player marking him looked like he was resting his arms on him at one point. We missed Butler at the back- we let them come on too us too many times and just walk the ball in to the area, nobody going to them.
We were not sharp enough- the ball was lumped forward and up in the air too many times... made me start thinking of SO'D.

Otters, thanks for that report.
I actually listened to the RP commentary last night and the way they put it over is much the same as you have described.
