So, in between slapping and sticking and twisting, we come to the small matter of a match against our former favourite second team, the team who would have their highest season attendance in the pre-season friendly, a team that was many levels below us and posed no threat to us in the big boys' leagues......a team that in their first ever competitive fixture with us, beat us😳.

Burton Albion, used to love that pre-season ritual at theirs, wearing the shirt without any jacket in that balmy pre-season amble down the A38......... not anymore. It's now serious and could get embarrassing 😳
The game also sees the return Nigel Clough to PP, a manager who evokes many different reactions from loathing to deep respect. What reception will he garner? Oh and if Burton are leading in the 92nd minute, Shaun Barker will make an appearance

Not sure what we're playing for, well a win obviously but the last couple of games have totally shocked our system and have set a degree of unease amongst the Faithful.

Derby have won just once in their last five and conceded 10 in their last 3 games, rumours abound that Shackell will return, but who will be dropped? 🤔
