Barnsley v Huddersfield Town

Barnsley v Huddersfield Town
Saturday 25 February 2017 3pm at Oakwell

Cometh the hour, cometh the men!

Yes, Reading was a pressure match, it had to be won and the lads delivered!

Apart from edging away from Reading and the chasing pack, Town are still four points adrift from the second spot. Plenty more work to be done, but I have a great feeling about this season, I feel it in the air!

Who could forget the mutual respect between the two Yorkshire clubs, when Town and Barnsley played out a 2-2 draw on May 4 2013? Both clubs remained in the Championship with that result, yes, a slightly bizarre end to the match, but a favourable result for the Tykes and the Terriers! I have always had a soft spot for Barnsley and my respect improved more so after that memorable day.

Will the Tykes stand in the way of Town notching another three points for the Terriers on the Championship table? It won't be any easy game, why would it be? It's a Yorkshire derby!

Barnsley are currently ninth in the league and nine points from a play off position. They will be going for it, but I suspect Wagner will have his game plan in order.

Impressive stats for Town, Barnsley very mixed, to say the least. On current form, Town should be well in command, but this is a derby match and theses type of games can throw up all sorts of challenges. However, the Town players will be extremely confident and they are playing some very attractive football.

No prediction for a score, but I am anticipating a win for the Terriers! UTT!

Nearly forgot, well I did actually.

What a bullet header by The Hef! It's been a while since I saw a firmly directed header like that one, well done Michael!

👏👏👏

You're right LV. How wooden is that guy with the mic !
As we discussed some time ago re- Ward !
beaten again low to his right, He has a blind spot.
If I know it, So does every other goal keeping coach & striker in the Championship.

As far as I know Coleman is injured. He picked up a knock in the first game against City. We've had Luke Coddington on the bench for the last two games.

Schindler also took a knock (impact injury) according to Wagner but at least he's got a week to recover, although Stankovic did well when he came on.

If he's fit.
Coleman deserves another crack at City

Coddington would do a better job, Ward is too inconsistent. Coleman first choice for me when fit again!
