Dream League - Season 8, Fixture 9

Edinburgh City 1-2 Juventus
Edinburgh Goal – Robben (Barkley)
Juventus Goals – Pjaca (Bernardo), Dybala (Lemar)
MOTM: Pjaca

The form book was thrown away here as Juve smash and grab the points in a match that Edinburgh were many people’s favourites pre-match due to carrying both the home advantage and form slots – a heafty overall advantage.

Edinburgh’s form has dipped of late but they have a top team and their time will come again.

Meanwhile, after a frustrating start to the season by the mighty Italians, things are now starting to click and the anticipated surge up the table looks like it is most defininetkty on.

Tatung Football Club 1-1 Forres Mechanics
Tatung Goal: Lacazette (Mane)
Forres Goal: Hazard (Alli)
MOTM: Matip

No doubts about it that Forres have one of the heavyweight 11’s in this league, but Tatung are tactically sound and have a very talented young team.

This result keeps both teams near to the top of the table, keeping Tatung’s strong season going, and Forres not for the first time this season pick up a valuable point away from home.

Wellington Phoenix 2-1 Blyth Spartans
Wellington Goals – Carrasco (Grimaldo), Mkhitaryan (Pedro)
Blyth Goal – Berardi (Iniesta)
MOTM - Carrasco

To me this match had the potential to be the tightest of the 3, and it proved so. In a closely run affair, Wellington’s home fans proved to be the 12th man, and it is they that pick up a valuable 3 points.

Goodwick vs Cambuur

good game this, Welshy has freshened up a Goodwick side that was suffering neglect and made them pretty competitive, I like the back five not sure on the holding two as a combo but hey-ho..Elsie as always has a lovely side and this no exception, I like the look of his midfield trio and has lovely pace out to stretch the game.

Goodwick 1-2 Cambuur
Llorente (Mertens)
Costa (Rafinha) Martinez (Costa)

MOTM - Fabinho

Pumas vs Fishguard

LSTD has a great side, not sure on the way he's formation is set out but I do get it, even though it looks messy, I've known a Fishguard look so strong as this current side, I think his wide-men would have a fair whack of joy against these "inverted fullbacks" the only real negative in this game is that it got so congested through the middle thanks to Welshy's inside forwards and LSTD's anti-football that the front men for both sides were starved of the ball

Pumas 0-1 Fishguard

Suarez (Coutinho)

MOTM - Suarez
