awful wm, main event whilst a poignant moment if it really is takers last match was rubbish, Goldberg vs lesnar was predictable to me anyway, just seemed like a very dead event

Which makes him the best thing on Raw

Genuine heat doesn't exist anymore because Austin changed the game whereby heels were loved and fac es were indifferent.

WWE know they have hit the jackpot with Roman because his undoubted heel turn will be a huge success and all those that booed him will be the very same people who make a fuss over him wihen he turns.

Guys like Cena & Reigns have incredible willpower. Imagine going to work, getting a constant tirade of abuse and having to act like it's not happening. They've given Cena the liberty to address it in the last 5 years or so, but Reigns still has to act like he's deaf to it for the most part. Regardless whether you're being heavily paid for it, imagine how painful that must be?

The underling problem is WWE just can't book properly, in theory they could manufacture several guys with Reigns' heat if it was truly beneficial. Bryan is recent proof that the days of the unanimously over babyface aren't dead, WWE just can't create them to save their lives.

it's wrestling. They are getting the biggest reactions of the night, they will be happy with the "abuse"

A million dollars a year helps too

When you're given the liberty to abuse the crowd back yes, I'd imagine that's great fun. Having to pretend it doesn't exist and just smile anyway? Different story.

If Reigns ever does turn heel, that first promo he cuts when he'll tear into the audience will be very telling.

But you acknowledge he was an exception as opposed to the rule.

I honesty don't. I acknowledge modern day pop culture is taking more of a liking to charismatic villains than ever before, particularly in fighting sports (e.g. McGregor). But the appeal of the hero is still strong in society, and thus WWE should still produce them with regularity.

The days of the holier than thou, all conquering babyface are gone absolutely (hence Cena/Reigns can't get the desired reaction), we live in a much more 'shades of grey' world today. But the potential for faces to get great, consistent and unanimously positive reactions is still very much possible.
