Huddersfield Town 3 Norwich City 0

Afternoon all, and welcome to my negative match day thread.

John Smiths Stadium

K.O - Weds 5/4/17 - 19:45

It's also on Sky.

Match facts;

Town have not completed a league double over Norwich since the 1967-68 season.

Norwich have conceded in each of their last eight league trips to Huddersfield (W2, D2, L4).

Only Barnsley (17) have scored more headed goals in the Championship than Town (14) this season, while

Norwich have conceded the most headed goals (19).

Only bottom of the league Rotherham (58) have conceded more away Championship goals than Norwich (40).

Town go into this game on a two game losing streak, can this be the hat-trick? I think it might be.

There's probably lots reasons why we've gone off the boil recently, so I'll name a few;

Players are burnt out.
Stuart Webber episode.
Injuries to key players.
Squad not good enough
We don't score enough goals - not addressed in January.
International break - lost momentum (apart from Bristol)
Succumbed to the pressure.

They are just a few.

Town form - LWWLL - 6 points

Norwich - LDDWL - 5 points.Norwich have won 1 in 14 away games. It's ont cards folks.

So both teams aren't in the best of form. Norwich have a decent outside chance of getting into the play offs, our chances of automatic promotion are very slim IMHO.

Norwich currently have Alan Irvine running the show, he's a respected decent-ish championship manager so he'll have a game plan. Plus they will have Stuart Webber passing on inside info on our depleted goal shy team. Apparently they played well against Villa, and with ten men they still had 69% possession

Town haven't played well since the Leeds and Brighton games. We've stuttered and struggled with our high pressing game. Granted we've had key injuries to Palmer and Brown, both whom belong to Chelsea. To contradict myself a little, we've had hard fought wins against Villa and Brentford, but yet we weren't ourselves. We had ample opportunities to score against Barnsley, but we didn't, and we drew the game.

Maybe all these "computers" that predicted the final league tables aren't far off. I said we'd finish on 78 points (I think) and I don't think we'll be far off. We could be 5th by Wednesday, maybe a good thing? Pressure off and all that. God knows. We still have a game in hand, but that's against in form Wolves, so don't count on us getting any points from that game.

Like I've said, this is very negative thread, and my opinions. I'm sure you'll all have a positive spin on things, and I'm looking forward to reading your views. Like I've said before, this season is a one off, and it won't happen again, we've probably missed our best opportunity for Automatics in my lifetime, hence my negativity. Play offs are a huge gamble, and the form team (usually finishing in 6th) gets the reward.

So thanks for reading UTT.

Loads of time to renew, if you're a current season card holder your seat is held until 28th April, effectively 1999 cards on sale to non season card holders and 15001 to renew

I,m gonna renew next week when its all calmed down s bit

Those who have tickets in the revell ward upper and sit in the SS should be made to make a choice on where they intend to sit...its taking 1k/1.5k off the big game crowds...its crazy...there has been at least 4 seats on my row empty nearly all season!
