Coventry 2 Derby 0 - Old One-Eye's take

Old One-Eye’s Match Report: Spineless Rams Regret Missed Chances

The Rams lacked a finisher and an organiser but did enough to earn a draw. Instead a moment of ridiculous refereeing set Derby on the road to their second straight defeat of the season.

The rest of OOE's painfully predictable match report can be found here....

Excellent read as always Eddie but there seems to be a degree of pathos (born of frustration???) from this latest report. Maybe I'm wrong?

I can too emphasise with that (the frustration that is)

Indeed, View.

Humour was on the back burner somewhat - also, I've got a lot on my mind at the moment with DerbyBird (my kid sister) being hospitalised.

I went to see her this afternoon in the Royal and she's as chipper as ever, which is refreshing - she puts me to shame. It's going to be a long haul back to health, but she's tough and will get there.

Something DerbyBird said today really made me chuckle and gives me confidence that she will make a pretty good recovery.

When she was asked at the hospital today whether she wanted to go to the chapel or to take communion, she said "No, thanks".

When asked what religion she is, she immediately replied "Derby County".

But there's nothing mysterious about how Derby County moves- backward slowly

OOE - I hope Derbybird makes a speedy recovery, she is certainly of sound mind.

Very good report again, I loved the bit about the space Kilbane had.

Good report OOE - how many Anday Warhol movies have you watched?

Very disappointing performance for me, interesting to hear Baker had a good game he's been appalling all year, but no real complaints about the scoreline, hopefully it gives the team food for thought and realises the need for a plan B if our Jose Mourinho defensive tactic fails.

Not sure why we defended so deep and rarely pressured their Centre Backs...hopefully it is the kick up the backside we need, Southampton dropped off Forest at the weekend and the fallen one's were able to play through them easily and get the game back to 2-2, if we want anything out of the game on Saturday we're gonna have to get some attacking moves in. Nice to be back in the familiar gloom though was getting nervous with all that light and happiness.

2 Wellies:

One would have been too many. I did draw the line at 'Empire' and 'Sleep', but I did see 'Chelsea Girls' and 'Bike Boy' in my more arty days. Of course I saw 'Flesh' and 'Heat' when they played in Derby, but AW had taken more of a back seat after he was shot.

"AW had taken more of a back seat after he was shot."

Lazy git,

so what was Derby like in the arty days, being a prisoner of the Peak District, my only art exposure was the Parwich village pantomime and the Wakes week fancy dress parade. All art since then has seemed inconsequential.

We used to have some great gigs in Derby.
