David Moyes....

"If people want to leave Everton then they can, but they need to remember it generally doesnt work out for them"-Moyes

Yesterday was final payback for the way he left Everton.

I don't get it. He had clearly gone as far as he was going to with EFC - both for himself and the club and it had gone a bit stale. Moving was obviously a risk for him, but I think it was justified at the time.

great link....someone the other week said they didn't know who yoko ono was, should have showed them this, she's the blindfolded one doing the knitting.

and have to join the general confusion in wondering what the "way he left" complaint is...unless we mean the attempted poaching of baines/fellaini. but you kept baines, and got £27m for afroman, so you should be forever grateful for that.

He was what we needed at the time, we were skint, struggling at the bottom but he turned us into top 5/6 side (on average) with budget signings. I certainly thank him for turning us around.

The Man Utd job was always going to be poison chalice whoever went in straight after SAF and I don't think he did the right thing by getting rid of their backroom staff and bringing in his own, let's face it, none of us lost any sleep when he took Round and Woods with him

I thought he'd of done good at Sunderland but wasn't to be, maybe his next job should be in Scotland.

He refused to let us know his plans then left on a free. He also criticised City for they way they pursued Lescott and then did the same thing when he came in for Fellaini and Baines.

I was glad when Moyes left. I thought (as did lots of Everton fans at the time) that he'd run out of ideas. His constant 'for a club like Everton' monologue was getting on my nerves and very counter productive for the mindset of the players and the fans.
That first season with Martinez was fantastic, his positive attitude and enthusiasm was a breath of fresh air and it worked wonders for the players. I know it didn't last and if we're honest his over the top hyperbole soon began to grate when things started to go wrong.
But that's not the point.
The point is most Everton fans agree that Moyes was good for Everton at the time. Yes he managed the clubs resources with some skill but I for one was getting sick of his constant negativity by the end of his reign so was not bitter about his departure at all.
This is all academic now anyway, Moshiri's the game changer for Everton and Koeman is the man to take us to the next level. The future is bright.
