Dpl v Hartlepool

Morning all!

Must win and hope the cod heads get something from Plymouth. For a long long time it is now out of our hands due to our slack performances recently. The rumour mill has already been circulating with Fergie eyeing up players to bring in and start doing major business starting this week for our assault on league 1.

Today Rovers to win 3-1 with Marquis to score and a crowd of 5555

Garbage, no fight no commitment! We've been terrible since that Grimsby game! Should have had this league wrapped up weeks ago!

Grimsby set it up for us and we fluffed it yet again. Full marks to Portsmouth. We certainly need to sort the defence out in the close season.

Yes we were awful would have thought the way we played we did not have anything to play for. Thought fergies substitutions were terrible again, we seemed to loose what we had after they were made. I agree the defence needs a overhaul

like to know who counted the crowd as its down as approx 1000 below capacity and there didnt seem many spare places

All I can say is I'm pleased for Portsmouth. I would not have wanted to be have seen Plymouth win it. Portsmouth have so many long-suffering fans and they play to win. Well done to them!

We weren't even particularly good in the Grimsby game, just that we put our chances away.
Fergie is to blame for this end of season collapse.
Stories about players being out for the season as soon as promotion was confirmed and then seeing them mysteriously coming back when it wasn't quite going right.
He thought we could coast home with fringe players.
As for yesterday's game, yes Hartlepool were really intense but that was expected, after all their league status depended on it.
The game was played at a frantic pace and to be fair they were better than us.
The most ridiculous decision of the day was taking Copps off.
Ok, he wasn't at his best but he was the only one of our lads who had composure on the ball and to take him off when were we probably going to need a second goal was a joke.
Everyone around us was saying the same thing.
All the fann**ng about with the team has been a disaster.
Considering we have won promotion it just doesn't feel like it, almost a relegation type of feeling.
It will feel worse next season when Portsmouth fans are singing Championies at us and Kyle Bennett is laughing at us from the pitch.
I am also glad that Plymouth didn't win the title but with some more continuity in team selection it would have been ours continually.
SoD and Dickov got stick for their collapses but at least that was in the Championship.
This disaster of Fergusons is L2 FFS.
No wonder he has never won a title.

Well said and well put hound.
I really thing we need a goud start to next season.
A few weeks ago if we kept the
nucleus of the side we would do ok in league 1 now i an afraid i am not so sure after these last few shoddy mismatch performances.
Mcullock must be thinking his appearance has coincided with theses dismal displays.
