Next season

Now we've officially secured our PL safety my mind is already thinking about next season with great excitement. I don't think there's any doubt that Shakey will get the job now because he fully deserves it and I genuinely can't think of anyone better for the job and to move us forward. He might not have the name but he's showing the know-how so I'm not worried about any managerial turmoil or our style of play next season instead I'm confident because I'm expecting more of the same.

It really all rests in the transfer market and making sure that we actually get it right this time and sign the players we need. Now that Shakey has admitted we'll be aiming for Europe next season and following the debacle of the last two windows, I'm leaning towards believing we will get it right this time and we will start the season with a squad competing for the top four/six.

This is the summer I've been waiting for since we first got promoted, the summer where our aim is to qualify for Europe because that's where I believed we should be heading as a club by now. No more 40 points and survival, it's time to push on and become a regular top side six side now that we have the financial clout and a style of play to achieve it.

In my opinion it's time to say goodbye to the old Leicester, just like Chelsea and City have done with their former selves. I'm not making comparisons in terms of our wealth and likely expenditure but the shape of our clubs have all changed since receiving heavy financial investment and now we're well within the top 20 richest clubs in the world, a far cry from where we were before Milan Mandaric saved our bacon.

We're not that club anymore, this is a brand new and exciting era for the club and I'm personally very excited about the next ten years because I think we have some more good years ahead yet and more European nights. It could all go balls up but this is my ambition for our club now, not to rest on our laurels and settle for mid-table obscurity.

Maybe in the last game against Bournemouth it might be worth trying out one or two. Throwing them in against Man City or Spurs might be a bit too much!

Yeah I think we should go full strength against City and Spurs and then have a look at a couple in the starting XI and a couple off the bench. We still want to beat Bournemouth and finish 8th if possible so nothing too crazy.

Hopefully, Bournemouth will be on the beach.

I'll get my coat....

Is Mahrez on his way?

The Telegraph seem to think so.

Riyad Mahrez expects Leicester City to honour the agreement they struck last summer and allow him to leave at the end of this season, which will spark interest from, among others, Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal.

Mahrez believes that he has honoured his side of the bargain after giving Leicester another season following their Premier League title success, as former manager Claudio Ranieri requested.

Now Mahrez will tell the Foxes that he wants the club to keep Ranieri’s word and let him make a big-money move that will allow him to keep playing in Europe and challenging for trophies next season.

Expect a lot of this stuff, true or not.

I don't believe any of it. He'll be a Leicester player next season.

The agreement between them could be true,
But 3 yr contract ? And no buy out clause,
Would anyone offer 40k right now.
Personally I think he still be here till January,
Then if hes having a good season someone may come in then,
However if hes not happy and we recruit well
@ 40k id take it.

Gray's twitter profile pic changed to a picture of him and Chilwell on the subs bench checking their phones.

A not so subtle dig?

He's an idiot. He doesn't even do enough to warrant a start because no matter how poor Mahrez is, he's still more likely to create something than Gray will and he's better defensively and saying Mahrez is better at defending than someone just shows how bad they are.

He's facking 20 for facks sake, he needs to calm his farm.
