What do they have in common?

Billy Sharpe - 30 goals this season
Steve Morison - 20 goals this season + play-off winning goal
Neither of them could do it for us, but it makes you wonder if some of our players are just waiting to shine. If so, who are they, and what can we do to make it happen at ER?

Again, Sharp consistently scores goals in League One, but has never managed to replicate that at a higher level. That is the issue. Some players just can't do it at a higher level.

Sidepoint, I wouldn't say that Roofe has struggled. He hasn't replicated the goalscoring form he had at Oxford, but that is hardly to be expected. He is playing on the wing now in a better league.

Put this in perspective, some questions for you lads.
Billy Sharpe Or Chris Wood?
Steve Morison or Chris Wood?
Mirco Antenucci or Chris Wood?

Difficult to answer that Scara, we only had one way of playing, and one striker who could do the business. Mirco should have done better with us.
Looking ahead, I would love to see players like Vieira, Roofe, O'Kane and Antonsson coming into form, in the way Wood did this season. The midfield let us down this year but with a couple of additions and a little fine tuning, who knows where we will be this time next year. Just don't say League 1.

Morison was always a good player but trouble is we have managers who listen to stupid fans and exclude certain players... The stupid know it all fans are the problem.

Morison and antenucci were both decent players at this level, but there are guys who bang them in at a lower level but can't make the step up... Nicky ajose would be another we had on our books recently (though he didn't get much game time).

Jury still out on roofe, looks like a player in there and I hear he's a really good finisher in training... but if he never plays in a striking role due to team formation?

Beckford was okay for Everton. Was never a lone striker and that's what you need to be able to do in the PL. maybe in another top league he would have shown a better return.

Billy Sharp went to Southampton and never really got a chance.

I think that they couldn't handle the pressure at ER a lot of players fold up here and those two certainly did

50% of Sharp's goals are pens.

They were both KRAP in the championship

I think I was one of the only people alive who rated Steve Morison when he was playing for us
