JT signs for Villa on 1 year deal

Good luck captain Interesting move, should be guaranteed first team football and hopefully aids their promotion bid, be nice to draw Aston villa in the fa / carling cup.

Under Brucey, Brucey actually said JT should use this as a fast-track to management too to take over from himself at Villa so imagine JT's role unofficially will be player-coach.

Had a feeling he might of gone Bournemouth to link up with Begovic and Ake etc but suppose this move guarantees him first team football.

Anyway enjoy Villa, and good luck JT

John Terry has signed for Aston Villa to continue his playing career beyond the age of 37 in the Championship.

Villa owner and chairman Dr Tony Xia confirmed the Chelsea legend's arrival on Monday morning, tweeting: 'Welcome JT to Birmingham city...Aston Villa! #UTV! @AVFCOfficial Announcement shortly!'

Local rivals Birmingham City had also been chasing Terry before Steve Bruce convinced the 36-year-old to head for Villa Park — with Xia clearly poking fun at Villa's neighbours in his tweet.

I doubt if John Terry will complete the season at Villa. Nice concept and effort on his part, but he could have fit in better in the USA.

comparing danny rose and ledley king as bad characters to skumbag terry, who is pretty much the lowest of the low

Name one thing Terry has done that was worse than Danny Rose's assault on Guus Hiddink or the damage Ledley would have done to that poor doorman if he wasn't restrained?

No shame at The Lane.

And that's worse than shoving a pensioner to the floor?

No doubt you cheered Danny Rose on the home game after his assault on Hiddink that would have landed a normal citizen in jail.

No shame at WHL
