If you've watched him consistently last season you wouldn't be saying that.

I have time for Perisic and at the Euros he was comfortably Croatia's best player but he is not a difference-maker to the tune of 50m.

A consistent season at aged 28 in a team finishing 7th doesn't fill you with confidence.

His stats at Inter are the same as they were at Wolfsburg.....

You can never tell what sort of impact a new player may have.
I'd say the majority of the United fanbase didn’t expect a great deal from Carrick or Park and yet they went on to be very influential figures in the first team.
Now Perisic isn't a Neymar,Ronaldo or Hazard but his style of play could easily offer us some unpredictability in attack. We dont have any natural width other than Valencia, who has arguably come off the back of one of his better seasons.
If we have someone similar on the left then that could do us wonders for variety.

The other out-come though is that Perisic is signed and becomes a total flop, but I'm confident he wont.

I do agree with the majority though that the fee is silly.
But Jose seems like a fan and likes his ability.
Just a shame that Perisic's playing style seems abit niche nowadays ,which is another reason why we're concentrating so much effort in recruiting him.

In a normal season, you'd expect:

Lukaku - 25 goals
Martial - 15 goals
Rashford - 15 goals
Mikh - 15 goals
Pogba - 10/15 goals
Mata - 10 goals

That's already 90-95 goals spread between 6 players.

Then you'd expect the likes of Herrera, Fellaini, Lingard and CBs to chip in with a few.

The rest is fantasy... If you're buying a new winger and a DM... Then outside of Pogba the others game time is reduced yet you want them to double their goal tallys?

Its unlikely we'll get 25 goals from both our left and right wings...

The players are capable of it individually... But Mata, mhki, martial, Rashford are liable to be heavily rotated... It's not going to happen

I think he was talking about all competitions rather than just in the PL. In which case the figures provided are all achievable and reasonable targets. Lukaku I think should be aiming for over 30 in all competitions.
