Liverpool have today announced the signing of 17 year old wonderkid Falken Tyres from Japanese club Sumitomo on a multi-year deal for an undisclosed fee.
Falken, as he is commonly known, will be familiar to many players of the popular simulation game Football Manager as one of Asia's hottest prospects. He is reported to have strong physical attributes, in particular his control, acceleration and the ability to make a quick turn. Former manager at Sumitomo, Ayam-Jo Kin also praised Falken's mental strength saying, "he always performs under high pressure and has never once let me down".
As well as his on the pitch attributes it is also hoped that Falken will lead to an increased presence for the club in Japan, along with all the commercial benefits this brings which is now an important aspect of the modern game. Whilst this might attract the ire of some supporters who take issue with FSG's policy of signing young unknowns with the potential to become global icons, Liverpool director Billy Hogan countered this, stating:
“Falken has great potential at the club, his focus on attitude and performance align nicely with the club's values of ambition and commitment.
"We are proud to welcome Falken to the LFC family and very much look forward to working together and bringing these values to life."
Welcome to LFC Falken - here's hoping that you hit the ground running.

I'm feeling pumped up about this signing. He's a steal in today's inflated market.

I'm hoping he adds balance to our defence and can't wait to see him put some rubber down in the early parts of the season.
Just hope he doesn't burn out to early, be expense replacing him.
