Just clicked the auto pick in that game and they have Costa (injured) and Edwards (unlikely to start) in a 4-5-1 line up.

Well, yeah. It is just a random generator that doesn't take into account injuries or selections. As long as it fits the criteria it just chucks in players randomly.
