Ladies and gentlemen, your Dundee United squad looks like it may be complete.

James Keatings, apparently out for 6 weeks, is back in training and featuring in bounce games ahead of the Inverness game at the weekend.

Wow. Just wow.

This is the rollercoaster that is Dundee United folks. It's all drama, all the time.

Okay, deep breaths, let's recap.

Much was made of United 'trying to sell Bell on twitter' during the week and it seems odd that we've now released him on a free after publically demanding a transfer fee. What I suspect has happened is that Bell was probably due a payment (loyalty fee, whatever) if we sold him and he's now waived that to get a free. It's in the best interests of both parties that he goes.

This of course has freed up cash for Fyvie. We tried to sign him earlier in the summer and it was reported that he was keen to look elsewhere. Obviously nothing else has materialised and he's now signed up. I think he's a good signing and a midfield with him and Jordi Briels could be a good one. It also gives us depth which is crucial.

The bounce game was important as it allows a few players to get fit, including McDonald. He's suspended for the weekend so it was good to get him a run-out ahead of the derby next midweek. But the recovery from Keatings is just incredible. I'm worried that he's pushing himself too hard, but hopefully the medical team are monitoring it.

I won't be up in Inverness at the weekend but hopefully we can start the campaign positively and get an important 3 points and a marker for our season.
