Re-started MGS 5 the other day for no real reason. Realised the reason I'd had to stop playing it in the first place when I was told I'd been on it for 4 hours, didn't even realise all that time had passed
Anyway, got me wondering about other games and series you can play for hours on end without noticing
Assassins Creed was always a big one for me. Rogue and Black Flag and the sailing parts of those games in particular. I remember when Brotherhood first came out though, me and my brother staying up all night playing that game after loading it up after dinner. Funny thing is I really couldn't get into Unity or Syndicate in the same way though
Total War was another. Kept on telling myself just one more turn...Medieval 2 was probably the worst for that, got an embarrassing number of hours clocked up on the Warhammer one though. I was always really bad for re-loading an earlier save file though to try and manoeuvre myself into a better position
Any others?I've heard horrible stories about the Civilization games and Football manager too but I've never really got into those series

Faming Simulator - I spent ages the other day hay baling on a field on a slope. I didn't realise that I had attached the wrong hay baler so I was getting cylinder bales instead of cuboid ones. When I'd finished and I looked at my work, all my hay bales had rolled into the next field. I then had to spend the next hour moving them all with my forklift truck.

Bought a new tractor over the weekend. Increased horse power and top speed, reasonable maintenance costs. Could really see the benefit when I went to plough my first field with it, was making incredible time. Then I realised I hadn't actually lowered the plough.
