"Having had time to consider my actions I acknowledge now that the timing and manner of what I said was ill-judged.
"My words were not meant to offend and for that I would like to apologise to the chairman, manager, my team mates and the fans.
"I'd also like to wish the lads good luck ahead of Sunday's game against Newcastle."
Well well well...Danny Rose

He is not retracting or apologising for what he said. He is apologising for the timing and manner of the interview. He clearly does not regret what he said.

I expect he is trying to get out of being fined for breaking his contract. The contract he was happy to sign I hasten to add. Completely unprofessional. Dont let the door hit you on the butt on the way out...

He told the truth. Fair play to him. What he earns in comparison to us is irrelevant, he compares himself to his peers just as we compare ourselves to ours.

He did but as he is under contract and an employee of the club he has a responsibility to act in the best interest of the club
The timing and method used of the article was the opposite of that and he did well to get away with only a two week fine

What he said was true, we all know it. Don't know if he's shared these concerns with the club prior, if he hasn't then he should have. If he was going to go to the press I'd have preferred him to pick a more reputable outlet. It's often said that fans can't relate to players but in this case I can because we feel the same way.
