The guy talked about a lot of things but one of his more pertinent points, was a answer to the question of striker. More so the nationality of the players in our sights.
He intimated that foreign players are not subject to inflated fees. Now based off the Alioski and Saiz signings are you guys happy to trust the clubs' judgement?
Or are you die hard UK players only?
Also I actually think TC welcomes a style of play similar to Barca and that means no over reliance on a target man .

english players are defiantly inflated in price.
It's hard to imagine for example a striker in the championship of other leagues going for 15 million (although that said the championship is a much better quality then a lot of other leagues in Europe)
It's more to do with scouting though.
Saiz and alioski are far better than the likes of adryan and berardi.
It's always about the player, not the fee.
On the flip side ayling is the bargain of the year so there are deals to be had from England

Its a shame for English football it hasn't the players it could have, to many outsiders have been let in and that's made it very difficult for English players to move forward!..
The only people that can be blamed are the ones controlling the English game!..
As for outsiders coming in, nothing wrong with it when they're proving to be as good as,(in some cases better!)but cheaper than players in the English league!..

Can't have it both ways, you either have little or no restrictions on minimum English players and reap the money from world wide audiences, or insist 5 English per starting 11 and see the TV money fall through reduced licensing being paid.

Wood was a foreign player, he was a New Zealander.

For the first time in a while I feel the club are being sincere in saying they tried to keep a player.
______________
Statement regarding Chris Wood
For the past month we have tried to negotiate a new three year contract with Chris Wood.
We offered the player strong financial terms including reasonable exit clauses, lower than the fee we demanded for a transfer this summer, should the club not reach the Premier League in a certain timeframe.
However the player’s preference was to leave Leeds United and as he only had one year left on his contract after this season we had to protect the club and ensure we did not sell Chris below our valuation.
We want players at Leeds who consider us a big club and we want players who are committed to our vision to return to the Premier League.
Supporters can rest assured that monies generated from the sale of Chris Wood will be reinvested into adding to the 12 signings we have made already.
Thank you for your continued support.

...it's a good press release from Radz, he knows how to communicate. The art of a good press release is sounding sincere whether you are or not.
In this instance it was obvious Wood wanted to leave, and i'm happy to take the club at its word that cashing in wasn't first choice... and by stating that they offered release clauses etc he's providing a bit of detail that makes it look like they did all they could... cash will be re-invested etc
Which is what the fans wan to hear. Like I said, well judged press release.
