WTF is going on with our club?

Surely Mustafi can't be sold... On top of Gabriel too. Not having it

If we're lucky. Everyone else is spending their TV money and improving their sides. Meanwhile, we're renting out some of the smaller executive boxes to illegal immigrants as the returns are better.

I have seen posts on here saying that Mustafi is not all that great blah blah. It seems like people cannot look at players and realize that they seem to regress under Wenger nowadays. The number of players who came to Arsenal known for good shooting for example and over the years turning into dross, is alarming. Players who look like they could cross a ball when they first came, now either shank it into the crowd or hit the first man.

The problem defensively is the coaching. This team's BIGGEST issue in my humble opinion is that half the time, they look like they have no idea where they need to be on the field in relation to each other - especially when defending. So to lose Gabriel who played with passion and bravery and now if we are to lose Mustafi...we are in serious trouble. A back three of Mustafi, Holding and Koscielny, should be pretty solid. Add Kolasinac to LWB and we look pretty sound back there. But here we have Wenger who left Holding off the squad and played 2 left backs in CB roles at stoke and our RB at LWB.

Yet we still blame the players....

Yeah I believe you could put a world class CB in wengers team and we'd still look poor at times. We'd be a bit better of course. but you can just tell from watching us play that our players aren't drilled much in defence. They all just look confused as to what their role is.

But don't worry. Senderos is back training with us. He can still do a job

The defence is an issue, but if you have enough fire power and chances created are taken its not fatal. Our issue is our defence is haphazard and we don't take our chances up front.

we are basically poor all round and that shows over a 50+ game season.

I think midfield is a major flaw to all this both in attack and defence. maybe sort that and the other two aspects will fall into line.

I think with lacazette we'll score more. Often last season we created quite a few chances a game, but no one could finish. If we could defend even slightly better we'd do well in most games. The defenders aren't terrible, just no one seem seems to no what the plan or tactics are

As soon as we go back to 4-3-3 we will improve. It may take time to come of this false high we have got from 3 at the back. But when it does things will correct themselves.
