Sheffield Utd 3 - 1 Derby County

1500
Bramall Lane
Sheffield
Saturday

So as the desperate hunt for a ticket continues we ...we...you find yourselves travelling to the badlands of Sheffield running the the gauntlet of the Tap and not wearing your colours.

Derby are expected to do well. Personally, at Bolton, I was very impressed with the performance but hey, it was Bolton. Even so it bodied well but one swallow and all that.....

Johnny Russell is expected to be out after a very impressive performance last week which makes it very simple to slot Tom Lawrence straight in. Midfield still a conundrum ..... Has Bryson done enough for a start or do we persist with Butters? Up-front Nugent or Martin? Both capable players but it was Nugent who got the service last week ........from Johnny.......who isn't playing....

FUN FACTS:-

This will be the first league meeting between the two sides since the 2010-11 campaign in which both games ended in away wins.
Derby will be looking to secure consecutive league wins at Bramall Lane for the first time since October 1958.
Sheffield United have won eight consecutive league games at home for the first time since February 2012.
Derby have conceded in each of their last 11 away league games, last keeping a clean sheet in January against Ipswich.
David Nugent's brace for Derby against Bolton means he now has six goals in his last seven league starts.

Sell out crowd at Bramall Lane, if someone feels a bit poorly or has an altruistic moment...Hello!! 😍😍

It was on a Monday afternoon Spart.

When we got to Millmore there were so many Rams fans that they had to open some more turnstiles, they were rusted up and they had to get an oil can!

It's funny, I can remember that match like it was yesterday. I think it's old age.

VC 10, I did not go to that game. Don't know why. I had a tough job then with a lot of travelling. But I certainly remember Mac's signing. And what a partnership! King Kev and John O'Hare - All unsung heroes then.

3Rs We had a terrific team spirit in those days and many of that team still live in and around Derby.

A few weeks later we signed Alan Hinton from the team down the road, he did quite well too!

I mentioned the summer of love and it has been in the press. I don't think it reached us up in Derby, can you imagine a song like "Let's go to Codnor"?

Apparently Spart gets on with anyone over the age of 85, but only if they are accompanied by both parents.

I think we would Griff. He obviously knows a thing or two.

Absolute drivel Scouse. Driving I often end up biting the steering wheel when stuck behind some incompetent old fart out for the Sunday drive. In shops or the post office why do old people never seem to realise that they have to pay for things. It is like a complete surprise to them after they have packed their shopping that they have to get money out. Bleeding coffin dodgers making my life a misery.

I was behind an old git in the bank the other day. She had been asked to provide some sort of i/d and despite several rummages through her bag, she couldn't find the thing she was looking for.
After a good couple of minutes of chuntering, she then turned on the cashier and blamed her for the delay, saying 'I haven't got time for all this stupid messing about !'
The cashier's face was a picture
