Joby, we've got the new Muzzy Izzet in Mendy and a better Neil Lennon in Iborra. I don't know what you're worried about.
Anyway, it's nothing ANOTHER wide midfielder like Andros Townsend wouldn't solve!!

I was thinking about Amartey the other day: Every time he plays at right back I think to myself: He's not a right back. He looks uncertain on the ball, particularly in slick passing moves. He can give the ball away and you wouldn't want to see him crossing. However, all that said, how many successful attacks do you see the opposition have coming down his side when he is at right back? Actually not many.
That's not to say that I don't want to see more from him or would rather see how he performs at centre back given that's his position for Ghana and he seems to be pretty good at it. But I still kind of like the guy. I think it's because he's shown strong character.

Amartey does seem like a likeable guy, but then so do you DM.
However, I'm not sure I want to see either of you at Right Back.

I thought Amartey was just getting into his stride last season with a run in midfield before he left for AFCON.
As a back up player he's ok for the squad.

Yes TB very useful member of the squad as a utility player, but (ala Jeff Schlupp) will he ever show sufficient quality to make any position his own?

Nope. But he's a likeable fella. Maybe he'll be the next Conrad Logan?

This got me thinking of an LCFC likeable bloke eleven.
Surely Chris Powell at left back.
