For a while. That was the best we have played away from home in the group stages of the CL. Taking into account the teams we faced. They are the German champions and we have not taken any sort of result away from home to teams like that for a while. People will no doubt point to Fabregas and Nasri and say we where not creative. Did you people watch Braga away last season? Awful performance with Cesc in the side. Infact he went off after an 'injury' in a flash. We do not need players like that. We need a unit that will fight for the cause.
Today we did that. Now we move on and build on another postive result. This team is not going to get their passing game back without confidence and you build that by getting results like we have done tonight. So for the people that want the quick and good to watch Arsenal back, you have to wait.
Best away performance in the CL group stage

You are probably right about it being our best away performance for some time, it doesn't say much about how we perform away from home though.
Dortmund 1-1 Arsenal
Barca 3-1 Arsenal
Braga 2-0 Arsenal
Shakhtar 2-1 Arsenal
Partizan 1-3 Arsenal
Barca 4-1 Arsenal
Porto 2-1 Arsenal
Olympiakos 1-0 Arsenal
Alkmaar 1-1 Arsenal
Liege 2-3 Arsenal
Porto 2-0 Arsenal
Fenerbahce 2-5 Arsenal
That game against Fenerbahce is probably the last time I have been impressed with an away performance from Arsenal in the CL proper!!!

Also, can you believe that we haven't kept a clean sheet away from home in the CL since we won 2-0 at the San Siro?! That is crazy!

Yes both crazy. And thanks for posting all the results. And you can see that we are awful away from home normally. Today in the SECOND half we showed how we should defend away from home. Its a shame that we did not defend like this before when he had Fabregas and Nasri.

The result paper over the cracks. The game could have been over in the first 15 minutes and you scored a goal with your only chance in 1st half really.
The stats tell the story 2 shots on target and 35.7% territoria possession and 41.5% possession. If Borussia Dortmund took there time on the great chances then it would have been a comfortable win for them.

To be fair we were undone by a wonder volley but our pressing off the ball needs to improve drastically.

How convenient that when the stats are in favor of the opponent we are lucky not to lose but when Arsenal have 60%+ possession and over 20 shots we are wasteful, predictable, lack steel and leadership, not good enough, etc.

Strange that the same posters who were moaning pre-game that we would get absolutely hammered are still moaning after we draw.

I thought you were much better against the two most recent Italian opposition you faced. The San Siro game (not the 5--1) was as good as I've seen any English team play away from home in Europe. The Arsenal midfieldhad Kaka, Pirlo and known greats chasing shadows.
You played much better against Udinese IMO

No sorry love, that wasn't our only chance in the 1st half REALLY. Why lie about it love? Are you that much of a in real life that you have to let it overflow into forums like this? Does the anonymity make you feel safe to spout WUM bile like you are doing? You are clearly a complete d***head in real life and your manu*re agenda is all we see here.

Yes, if your two out of a possible 100 stats are anything to go by. Stats ARE important. Stats ARE meaningful in the hands of somebody intelligent and who isn't a worthless windup piece of **** like you.
Have a good day now won't you.

I said a while back maybe not that far back. That Milan performance was 3 years ago and it was in the knock out stage. Batmanu showed the results away from home in the group stages.
