I just can't seem to understand why wenger has sanctioned the departure of Mustafi. A player who was clearly our most reliable and consistent CB last season. A player who imo is quite our best CB. Period.
Was there something i missed? Is it that this is all about Mustafi wanting to leave us or is wenger pushing him out?
And if this is about Mustafi wanting out does anyone know why? He seemed really happy with us last season. Plus he did tweet alot just before the season kicked off about how thrilled he was about joining up with his teammates after his extended break.
I know wenger is arguably the most useless manager presently in employment but i don't want to believe he is stupid enough to let his best CB go while he's offering the world to an ungrateful Ox.

Have a feeling it's political. In regard to the ongoing dispute between Gazidis and AW in regard to StatDNA players.
Club spent so much time and effort trying to get him (remember the Mexican standoff with Valencia) and as noted above, he's a reasonably competent defender, can't see any other reason for him being sold.
Unless of course there is something else lined up which looks unlikely.

Doesn't sound like we're signing anyone. Heard a few journalists on radio today , none of them said we seemed interested in signing anyone

I've already ordered a Messi Shirt, people are literally grabbing whatever Arsenal merch they can lay their hands on. At knife-point some of them.

Mustafi is average, but still better than Monreal, Holding etc at cb.
Absolutely crazy when you also have other big players moving.

We have worse in the team and squad than Mustafi and should be selling them first.
