So after the boredom of the international break Town are on their travels once again. This time we head to London on a Monday night, thanks to those nice people at Sky. Last I heard we had sold over 2500 tickets, not bad to say it's live on Sky's Premier football channel.
I was talking to some Palace fans on the first day of the season and they said the London Stadium (I have got that name right haven't I?) is an absolutely awful ground for football. Apparently it's soulless, the seats are too far away from the pitch and they'll never go there again. Add the fact that there were also clashes with the fans last season and it doesn't sound appealing does it? Even knowing all this I'm still going, mad or what
I think we'll probably start with the same team as against Southampton, depending on whether Mooy is not too knackered after his travels. Hogg is still not fit and apparently Quaner has also picked up an injury. I hope the new signings are on the bench and get to make an appearance. I feel sorry for Hefele as he seems to have been replaced by Zanka, seems a bit unfair after his good work last season. Sentiment, however has no place in football and that's why I'm not the Premier League manager of the month unlike our very own David Wagner
I saw Danny Higginbottom on Sky this morning and he was very complimentary about us, said he really enjoys watching us play. It's nice to have some recognition.
Andy Carroll is fit for the Hammers again, not for long I bet, he's never been the same since he left Newcastle. Bilic is already under pressure, and while I've nothing against him personally, let's hope the pressure has intensified at 10pm on Monday due to a good result for us.
My prediction is 2-1 to us.

We got home about 2.10 and I'm up and about now ready for work. I only slept about half an hour on the way home, I need to know the speed we're going (although at times I'm probably better not knowing 😂)
I stand by everything I said last night and just want to add - I hate the London accent 😡

It took us about 30 minutes to get back to the car, parked in Westfield, the way we walked in to the ground was closed so had to find another way back. There was no direction from anyone, even some of the home fans had no idea, one even sent us up a dead end. The air was blue, not from me I hasten to add.
Also we had to go over this narrow footbridge and it was so crammed all you could was shuffle. It did cross my mind that it would be so dangerous if anything kicked off. By that I mean when West Ham play their London rivals. Quite scary actually.
Anyway, last night's done, on to Saturday now.
