Back to earth

With a bang.

That scoreline almost flatters us to be honest, the sending off was unfortunate but probably fair but we committed suicide after that.

I remember City beating United 6-1 at the Etihad and we did exactly the same thing; trying to attack and opening ourselves up leaving the defence exposed over and over again and 5 wasn't unexpected.

So what are the positives; well we play in midweek so the players have a change to make amends, we won't play much worse than that again this season and we won't be playing at the Etihad again at least in the league, also I'd have been happy with two draws against Arsenal and City and we got 3 points instead of 2...

Also on a side note as poor as we were city were awesome, certain to win the title if they carry on that form.

Let's move on to midweek!

Once down to ten, right decision IMO, we were done they're too good.

Got banned from the match thread for saying it was the correct decision to send off Mane.

The 6-1 against the vermin was at the swamp, not the Etihad

Losing once is better than losing five times?

you're right. We now know how we play with 10 men when we're losing to the best side in the league.

otherwise, it's completely meaningless and doesn't really tell us anything about the rest of the season.

unless we plan on playing with 10 more often

wernt even playing the best side in the League .... the champions are playing at Leicester( the previous champions)(who took the title off the current champions) seems city havent been best for some time, but if that helps you sleep tonight.

is this a joke?

it's a meaningless result. We were the better side until the sending off.

you lost 5-0 hardly meaningless...

losing Mane was a game changer, bug top teams shd not capitulate after that

I stopped watching after the red card. Up until then, two very good teams, each going for gold, with, I'd say, us slightly on top, despite their goal.

T A-A given a lesson today. He's clearly a very good player, but they targetted him, and they won. Vertical learning curve for him today.

5 - 0? Well done City.

Back to the drawing board.

What is worrying for LFC is their total collapse after the red. Lack of desire and team spirit, maybe the COutinho debacle undermined the squad
