I thought this during the Hoffenheim second leg. We were 5-2 up on aggregate and the fans were still groaning every time we lost the ball. We sing YNWA at the start, and the spirit of that song used to carry through the entire game: you won't walk alone, because we're with you all the way. Now it often seems like YNWA is just a nice sing-song before the real business gets started, and all too often our players must feel like they are walking alone as the crowd turns on them. We need Anfield to be a fortress, and the fans have to make it that way.
