This might be old news to you (sorry if it is) but I spotted yesterday that Richard Walker has joined Solihull Moors. They are bottom of Blue Square Bet North.
Some Brewers fans over the last 2 years were eager for him to play on a regular basis. They cited his intelligence and ability to hold the ball up.
Personally I saw a limited Blue Square Bet North player who was painfully slow, not very good in the air and someone who was never going to score many goals. Was he fit enough whilst at the club? Did he apply himself properly? Only he will know.

I was one of his supporters, albeit that I saw a good player who could hold the ball up well and bring his team mates into play. I can't recall him ever hitting a pass to the opposition and when he was paired with Kabba for a few games some of our football was fantastic to watch.
Even last season there were games where he practically ran the show when we were going forward, but his scoring rate was woeful when you look at the opportunities he had overall.
Ultimately though he was a player we couldn't afford to keep in a reduced squad and without wanting to sound cruel to the man, the new attacking dynamic we have now wouldn't have suited him anyway.
