We’ve landed....

Thank f reality has set in. 75% of this board was full of nonsense for the first 6/7 games... hopefully, now we can start our season in realistic expectations- play offs.

Not being funny but most of the frustrations on here are a direct result of fans self inflicting by raising their expectations after a few wins. I didn't believe the hype (see previous articles) and I equally don't believe the ultra doom... the truth is somewhere in the middle.... 4 reasons why I thibk
That

1. this is the championship not the champions league... I don't expect our players to perform to a consistent high level game in game out.. If they did they wouldn't be in this league ffs
2. We will have our fair share of shockers - too many new players for that not to happen. Hopefully they’ll settle with international b000lcks out of the way
3. Home form - we've had some solid performances at home and we've picked up some good results. Barring yesterday of course.
4. My target was always play off with this bunch and still think we’ll be there or there abouts.

I always thought the winning the league stuff was a bit
tongue in cheek on here, tbh

>>>>>>>>>

As far as I'm concerned, Best nailed it in that sentence.
Tongue-in-cheek for sure. Fun as hell early doors.

It was like we'd been let out of prison and were finally
allowed to let go. And most of us did. But, I know I was
doing it with a laugh in mind, knowing full-well,
as Afridi said in the OP, reality would set back in.

AR said all along, club was aiming for top 6 finish.
They set their stall early. We over-achieved and we
enjoyed the heck out of it while it lasted. And why not?
We deserve to have some optimism for once.

Not to say we can't regroup and get in top 6 come May.

Regardless, I still love what's happening now with the
club on and off the pitch (mainly). It might take a little
while longer, but we're heading in the right direction.

We just need a win. Get a win and the confidence will flood back Imo. We're in a rut and need any kind of win to get us out of it. Let's look at it another way. This could be our blip for the season. We could quite easily go on another 6/7/8 game unbeaten run and be back in the mix again. We've lost 4/5 and we're still top 6!!

But a great win will always mean everything is amazing and bad victory always means it’s the end of the world

It’s called emotion and that’s what’s makes football greAt

Definitely one of the simplest and best explanations of why we all love this game so much.

Got all the tiny clubs trying to start a rivalry on here now.

What's all this getting annoyed because fans were excited? I still think we'll have a go. So many games to go.

Form has been poor, but we can turn it around. There's no amazing teams in this league.

Including the might Wolves, who seem to care about us on this board now, this Mr Chip 'from Wolverhampton' is obsessed at the moment, but anything to take your mind off the tragedy of living in Wolverhampton, really is a fooking horrid area of the country, most are born with 3 fingers.

I was hoping TC might have changed formation 2nd half. We look too one dimensional. I was desperate for him to go 442 and just have a go at it.

Think it was more a case of people enjoying the thrill leg of the LUFC roller coaster. The majority on here have consistently been concerned with the LB and CM situation and know full well that the end game of promotion is going to be more difficult without getting these recurring issues well and truly solved I.e filling them with real quality signings.

Good article, Aifridi, gets us back down to earth. We can still dream, though, can't we?
