Defending

It must be an open secret that Forest don't start to play until five minutes after kick off.

The defending on Sun' wasn't fit for purpose, especially in a local derby game.

I'm starting to wonder if Warburton can adapt his style of play in order to earn a draw? Bridcutt isn't the tough tackling midfield terrier that we need. I blame him for Vydra's shocking opening goal.

Unfortunately Forest on Sunday looked like a Philipe Montainier team; soft in defence, cheese in midfield, play some pretty patterns in the final third but lack the necessary steel to score and/or defend a lead?

How many defeats in those 6 games though Strett? Forest at least have perfected the art of losing.

Form is temporary.

At some point this season I will be able to come back at you with a run of six games that blows yours out of the water.

I should just drop this line of reasoning and stick with home attendance figures where you will be on safer ground.

For now anyway.

Is that the same run of form which has got us 15 points from 12 games.

That'll do me thanks.

Yes, you can look at it short and long term. Recent form has been poor but the average points gained over the games already played would see Forest end up around the 60 point mark which should guarantee a mid table finish.

That is precisely my point, Will

Is it nurture or nature, Spart. You know, your stupidity?

Using that logic we have perfected the art of winning, too.

Well, we're losing more, but we're also winning more.

Averaging 1.25 points per game would see us on 58 at the end of the season, 7 more points than last season and would have seen us 17th last year.

An improvement to say that we were the worst championship team to stay up and the other teams to join us either are ex-prem, or have promotion momentum.

Although we're still conceding, I think the defence has noticabley improved. Our back four was as good as they've been against derby and was let down by the lack of cover in midfield. Vaughan coming back is so so important.

My gripes with warburton are his detrimental substitutions and the time it takes to change the starting 11 when someone's not performing. You could argue though this is a trademark of someone who has time, and is giving player time to prove if it's an off game or it's overall form, like with darikwa, brereton, and Worral.

The problem is always, the best players are the ones that aren't playing.
People calling for Carayol have seen him have 20 mins against Wolves where he scored a worldy, and most of away against Sheff Wed, where he was appalling.

That’s the nature of the beast. The “What if he had played that game?” question fans always debate.
