This is a good thing.

Whoever wrote that first sentence is living in some kind of alternative fantasy.

Violent men (and women) are to be found at the very heart of society. Elected representatives, the military, families, the police, the financial institutions all celebrate, laud and reward violence (male and female) against those most vulnerable.
