Decent England odi team but hardly world cup favourites. Apart from root the batting very hit or miss. Should Jordan be in ahead of Willey? Hales been poor but surely will be back. Over 300 minimum so 285 not enough these days.

I think England's team is more hit than miss with regards to the batting. Bairstow, Root and Stokes bring some test class to the team with some good power hitters in Roy, Morgan and Buttler around them. The bowling also massively improves when you bring Plunkett and Wood into the side for Curran and Willey. I think they're right to be considered one of the of the favourites for the World Cup.

England looked to be in a good position once Rashid got Taylor. Unfortunately Santner had other ideas and some big hits managed to win the game for NZ. Perhaps we were 15 or 20 light from a winning score but some better bowling at the death would have seen our score defended despite not appearing to be enough.

I don't think wood will be around much longer with that chronic ankle. Curran is definitely worth sticking with.

I do like Curran and he's definitely got a future in the ODI team but Plunkett and Wood bring decent pace along with Woakes who's probably our quickest "fast medium" bowler.

Wood still harbours hopes of playing in the test side but he'd do well to look at Tymal Mills who's making a decent living off a T20 career due to his back. As much as I don't want to see players go down the Rashid and Hales route. in his case though and as it with Mills, you don't want the talent to go to waste either and at 28, he's not exactly got a long career ahead of him to go.

Good response from England today, surprising that Root didn't get a bowl considering how much Moeen and Rashid restricted NZ who didn't bat very well at all considering how easily England knocked off those runs.

Good win for England, good all-round performance by Stokes.

I see David Warner as been causing trouble again.. Really spiteful human being. I hope he fails in England like he normally does. the next time he arrives.

Stunning unbeaten century from Ross Taylor guides NZ to a 5 wicket win, to level the series at 2-2

Cracking century by Bairstow (following a brilliant catch). A very good overall performance by England to clinch the series.

England not at their best this series but still won which is encouraging. Plunkett back will help and that middle order can do a lot better. Bairstow first name on the sheet now which leaves pick between Roy and Hales.
