Pinch me............

Is this Wolves? Is this my team playing amazing free flowing attacking football?

I'm scared and confused at this present time, here is what the I think the team would look like with Lambert....

Lonrgan

Doc Batth Bennet Douglas

Costa Edwards New CM Saville Cav

Dicko/New CF

Finish about 11th-9th

Thank god those dark days of inept journey men managers are over, even god forbid Nuno goes to Barca then you just know we will get a new exciting manager in, unlike a few Prem teams I can think of!

I just can't believe it's us it's always someone else and now after 6 years of utter garbage I absolute fear no one.........even if it's hard to shake the old....were gonna lose tonight, were gonna lose to Bolton, were gonna lose to Bilston Town........it infects you like a disease! But slowly, very slowly it's starting to leave and be replaced by...........hope

Bless you Nuno, bless you Fosun, Bless you players.........we deserve this, us long serving expectors of doom................ring the bells ring the bells ring the bells...."Were Wolverhampton, were top of the league"!!!!!!!!!

Well said 55, I know its the Championship, but its without doubt the most exciting football I've seen a Wolves team play in any division.

We're learning to trust these players and the coach to go out and perform whoever we are playing, I know it feels strange.after years of inconsistent players and safety first.managers.

Remember the last few years of countless discussions on the merits of work rate v skill?

We can forget about that now as we have a team that does it all. The work rate Cav got through in that first half. Him, Neves and Jota all get stuck in and give as good as they get. To top it off, they are the most skilful players I have seen at Molineux; playing in a system that looks unbeatable at times. Credit to all the players: the improvement we have seen in players like Coady, Batth, Doherty and Saiss this season has been phenomenal - all living up to the potential we thought they actually had at one point.

This isn't just the best Wolves I have seen, at the moment I think it is the best Championship team I have seen.

I no longer believe that tired old adage that it's players who get the manager the sack.

I rate Nuno as the best manager in the world.

Not one player will get near to getting him the sack. He'll bomb them off to Halifax, West Brom, or some other meaningless club before they can get their kit off the peg.

Talking of which, Pardew is hot favourite to put the finishing touches to the demolition of Sandwell Towers.

Life is good. Class always wins in the end. Loffin.

Even thinking of that Lambert makes me sick, how with what we had he felt Saiss and Cav didn't deserve a spot is incredible, even at their poorest they were better than what we had and the less said about the last three months of last season the better, his decisions during that run in were a disgrace at times and bordering on deliberate sabotage.

The transformation is purely down to Nuno and his backroom staff with regard to players that Lambert deemed not worthy of a starting spot. They have brought the best out of the majority of this squad. Even Doc and Batth have improved their game and I'm sure with a little more guidance Eno can do better as well.

Give credit where it's due and all the staff behind the scenes deserve a huge pat on the back, especially the fitness coaches who have kept the squad pretty much injury free.

I think it was a no brainer that Douglas would come in for Vinagre and I expect the same starting eleven on Saturday. Cavaleiro seems to do well for 60 minutes or so and what a luxury it is to have Costa come on and replace him.

Agree with all that Sunny, the only thing I would say is that, as good as Cav has been at times recently, and there were spells last night when he was excellent, I still believe that Costa at his best is even better than Cav at his best.

You're right, however, it is great to be even having this debate.

I think Lambert was working within his limitations, limited vision, limited tactical nous, limited man management skills. He lived on a fading reputation and a cv which included being lucky enough to have been in a very good Dortmund squad. Clueless maybe, deliberate sabotage, not so sure.
