He doesnt need many chances to score.

Ok so you meant shots to goal ratio, because game time to goal ratio doesn't show that at all.

Giroud's issue isn't his finishing it's everything else.

His movement isn't great but the worst part is his hold up play - he just can't do it.

He's actually fairly decent at playing one twos with lots of players around him but when you need him take passes under control, hold off a defender and wait for back up he very rarely delivers.

The reason that's such a weakness is because he doesn't provide much threat in behind due to average movement and a lack of pace.

Essentially he's built like a holding striking but can't operate as one. Instead he's just a decent finisher which isn't what we need to win most games (we need a lot more from our CF than that).

Giroud is one of the best finishers at the club if we are being honest. Maybe that’s why we are where we are but the last 2 years he has been deadly when given the chance. This season he has been poor though

BTW, how the fack did Giroud pull his hammy? The donkey didn't try to go faster than ambling pace.

Doesn't Giroud go against the grain of the club and come back sooner than expected? Wouldn't be surprised to see back on the bench within a week.

Needs the same drugs as Lacazette took when he did his groin. Would be good to see Arsenal finally exploit other "medical options"

The Leicester effect.

Cant remember him having pulled off his harmstring. Must be the first time. Big miss for us.
